Josh Guglielmo has been a concept artist in the video game industry for the last 10 years, working on titles such as Mobile Strike, Star Trek Online, Champions Online and Golden Axe.  His illustrations have been featured on the covers of both Game Informer and PC Gamer. He lives with his wife and bird in the Bay Area of California.

He now works at Rooster Teeth Games in Austin, TX as the senior concept artist.

Rooster Teeth Games (2018-Present)

Senior Concept Artist for Vicious Circle

  • Worked closely with the creative director to develop a new IP from the ground up

  • Collaborated with a small team to quickly iterate on ideas

  • Produced a broad range of concepts for characters, environments, and creatures, including everything from quick thumbnails to final illustrations and marketing renders

  • Contributed to UI development by making prototype art based on designer wireframes

  • Provided feedback to outsourcing companies

Machine Zone (2015-2018)

Lead 2D Artist for Mobile Strike

  • Created concept art, illustrations, and in-game assets including gear icons, buildings, vehicles, and character designs

  • Led an in-house team of four artists

  • Provided feedback to outsourcing and the in-house sales team

  • Developed detailed style guides to help facilitate outsourcing and the on-boarding of new hires

 Cryptic Studios (2008-2015)

Concept Artist for Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and several unannounced games

  • Worked on multiple projects as the sole concept artist

  • Collaborated with the art director and 3D modelers to create characters, environments, weapons, creatures, and vehicles for multiple MMORPGs

  • Created mock-ups and final art for the UI of several games
